Left Ceduna a bit late this morning (around 9:30 a.m.). Had to wait for Post Office to open so we could pick up rego label for ute, which Andrew mailed to us. Wasn't sure it would be there yet as he only mailed it on Friday (albeit by Express Post). Had it not been there were going to put in a redirection order to have it sent on to Port Augusta (where we are at the moment), as we will be back this way probably early next week on the way back from Alice Springs. Didn't want to hang around in Ceduna as nothing there. Anyway, it had arrived so problem did not eventuate.

Reasonably short (465 kms) drive today from Ceduna to Port Augusta. No detours (nothing worth detouring to). Weather cool and overcast, with occasional drizzle. Port Augusta seems to be a good-sized town. It is at the head of Spencer's Gulf and is only 40 kms from Quorn (pronounced "Corn") where we passed through on the way back from the Flinders Ranges earlier. So we have gone round in a big circle, more or less, to get here.

The ute is booked in at the local Mazda dealer for a service on Wednesday, so we will be here tomorrow - Tuesday - sightseeing (there appear to be quite a few points of interest) and Wednesday (sightseeing in town and shopping) and all being well with the ute, out of here Thursday morning and heading north for Coober Pedy (opal country) and then Alice Springs.
