Didn't do much today, just loafed around Geraldton. Recovering. This holidaying lark can be very stressful and tiring. Went to look at the Anglican Cathedral of the Holy Cross. Not a patch on our St Francis Xavier Cathedral. Didn't even waste any film on it. Also had a look at the old Geraldton Gaol. Only quite small. Cells very small and pokey. Only ceased use in 1986. No gallows with trap and everything like there was at Fanny Bay. Hangings carried out by throwing rope over a particular rafter. Crude but effective. Said to be haunted. Photographed lighthouse. Went for swim in Indian Ocean. A bit weedy close in but weed-free further out. Water very warm, very clear, very salty. Lovely and refreshing. Lorraine tried to get some Indian Ocean but water was sandy close in. So she asked me to get some from further out where water was clear. I waited until no-one was looking.
Weather here today warm, cloudy and very humid. People keeping close watch in case TC Steve decides to come this way. Kalbarri currently on red alert (were there a couple of days ago).
Off to Perth in the morning.
