Narrative

Patrick (26), Michael (23) and Daniel (18) CARMODY, all farm labourers whose native place was BLACKWARE (BLACKWATER?), County Clare, Ireland, sons of John CARMODY and Mary MCINERNEY who were living in KILENIRY(?), Ireland, came to Sydney as assisted immigrants on the "Elizabeth", arriving on Tuesday 16 April 1850. The brothers were all Catholics, could all read and write, had no relatives in the colony, were in a good state of bodily health, strength and probable usefulness, had no complaints regarding their treatment on board the ship and contributed £2 each towards the cost of their passage.
