Narrative

After George Morrison Senior's death from tuberculosis on 15 March 1906, Janet Gardiner MORRISON (nee MACMURCHIE) brought herself and her children Margaret Frances MORRISON, George Donald McBeath MORRISON and William Burns MORRISON to Australia, arriving in Sydney via Melbourne on the SS Salamis, which left London on 31 July 1909 and arrived in Sydney via Melbourne on 18 September 1909. Accompanying them on the voyage was 7 year old Master G MCMURCHIE (sic) presumably related to Mrs Janet Gardiner MORRISON (nee MACMURCHIE).
