Arrived Port Phillip as a single female on the "Lady Kennaway" 25 February 1850. This vessel of 584 tons set out from Plymouth on 23 November 1849, James Santry Master, James Byrne Surgeon Superintendant. The passenger list shows for Matilda Brennan: Female, age 18 years; Calling: "Houseservant"; Native Place and County: "Londonderry, County Derry"; Religion: "Ch. of England"; Read or Write: "read". The disposition list shows she was to be employed by the Rev J Cheyne of Geelong for twelve months for a wage of £14/0/0, with rations.
