Narrative
From information supplied by Mr Arthur Robins of 4 Betsy Street, MOWBRAY,
Tas. Arthur Robins also advises that Alfred George was a cooper by trade, and
a volunteer member of the Launceston United Fire brigade in 1898. Also that he
was a member of the committee set up to consider the construction of a fire
station and tower in the town in 1880 (it was opened in 1883). Also that
Alfred George Robins and Elizabeth Ryan were both minors when they married and
that Elizabeth died three weeks after the birth of their third child. Also
that Alfred George Robins married Elizabeth Withey in 1876 and they had eleven
children.
