Narrative
Alfred WYMAN came to Australia in 1856 as an assisted immigrant on the ship Persia. He arrived, aged 19, in Moreton Bay on 22 June 1856 having travelled with his brother Frederick, aged 20. The lads travelled with their father's brother Thomas (34), his wife Sarah (36) and their children Mary Ann (12), Emma (10), Henry (7), Charles (4) and George (1). Alfred and Frederick's parents, William Keylock WYMAN and Pamela nee BARKER, remained in England with their other children, Thomas aged about 24, Charles aged about 17, Edward aged about 13, Ann aged about 8 (she and Charles do not appear on the 1861 UK census and are presumed to have died some time between 1851 and 1861) and Pamela aged about 4. They never came to Australia.
